my sim worked from beginning, now stuck at press any key

Featured Replies

Hi,

I got the sim working since the beginning, no install issues, but now, after 10 days, the sim just stays stuck at the press any key screen in the beginning. I have not done anything on my PC other than playing the sim so I am a bit baffled why now all of a sudden it gets stuck in this loop.

Anybody else experienced this?

I experienced it once and clicking on the screen fixed it. must have lost focus.

I think a number of this sims issues are coming from the 'too many cooks spoil the stew' problem.  There seems to be many locations to accomplish the same thing in the menus and Im not sure that all the defaults have been nailed down real good.  for example, why is it that if you just want to set textures to ultra it requires a sim restart but if you change the master setting to ultra you dont have to restart?  seems odd to me.

and theres at least two places to choose real weather or not, live traffic or not...there should be one place imo.
