FSX-MS Sim Skunk Works F-104 S or G RFG?

The SSW F104 Italian Air force and German Luftwaffe versions are available on Just Flight for about £9. Is either of them worth buying for what appears to be a "study-level" manned missile? Is one better than the other - are there differences system-wise or cockpit-wise between the two versions?

I've always liked the looks of the Starfighter and like the Sim Works Phantom I might enjoy tooling around in it for laughs (can't use it as a weapons platform in FSX without an add-on of some kind).

Hi Mark!

Wasn't the G model being given away for free about 6-8 months ago?  I got it (had it until Sim computer crapped out) and it was a great flyer!  A little twitchy on landing and could easily go out of control doing high speed turns.  Wonder if that free download is still available?

My favorite scene from Star Trek TOS was when Capt. Christopher was taxiing his F-104 out to the runway and taking off to chase the Enterprise.

If it was available for free, then my bad for not picking it up! The FIAT G91 was a freebie some months back...It appears that the Starfighter has a price tag. I suspect any free downloads currently come with a Jolly Roger... ARRR.  

I do have some morals, even for 9 quid

I checked on it a few days ago.....the free one was for 1 day only!  😵
