FSX SE PMDG 737NGX - Crashes

Recommended Posts

Hello guys,

Some background information: flying in real-life is not really happening these days, so I would like to keep my IFR/flying skills up to date. I decided to get the FSX SE with PMDG 737NGX to work on this. I previously used FSX with PMDG and it worked awesome. But that notebook crashed after some time and everything was, well, gone.

Anyway, my problem is that PMDG 737NGX doesn't work on my FSX SE. Any reason for this? I have read a lot on forums and different topics. I performed the steam integrity control of the game, deleted fsx.cfg multiple times, I checked the 'preview DirectX' box, lowered the Graph quality of the game. But still the same problem.

What happens is the following: only when selecting the 737NGX, the aircraft loads, I see the runway, the cockpit comes up and after 1-2 seconds, the game crashes totally.

Someone who had the same problem and solved it?

Thanks guys!

EDIT: The problem is for sure not my laptop (good videocard, GPU, CPU etc).

You need to start with a default aircraft and when fully loaded select the PMDG737 from the Aircraft menu. Known issue and this workaround should fix it.
