Hey all,

 

So, I've dug through several forums and could not find anything about this topic at all. I know we have a unique setup as stated by others... Basically I built this flight simulator setup for a really good friend of mine. (I know computers, not planes so much..) He is absolutely tech illiterate when it comes to this sort of stuff XD. So he is saying the radio (saitek) syncs with the OBS with no problems but when he switches to GPS to do RNAV approaches it wont sync with the OBS needle in air manager v3.7. Not sure if you know what I am talking about but I am trying to explain it the best way possible. Sounds like a communication problem and I am aware that our setup is pretty unique. Anyways, we are using xp11 latest version and the plane he uses is the MilViz cessna 310R (exact plane he has in RL). If you have any ideas at all I am all ears. I think he is to the point he will pay somebody to fix this as I am clearly stumped.

HI,

I'm not sure to really understand what is the issue you're trying to explain?!?

Are you trying to use an OBS knob to set the course on the GNS? If so you have to configure the GNS V2 to accept OBS inputs.

If you're referring to something else, I'd very much like you further explain.

Hi rxp,

thank you for your reply. No he’s not using the OBS knob he said. I’m trying to get an understanding of it as well.. Vloc mode (on the gns) works fine with the OBS. But when he switches to GPS mode (pressing the CDI button on GNS) it doesn’t communicate/sync with the OBS needle on air manager. He’s doing Rnav approaches if that helps any??
