September 3, 20205 yr I notice there is a topic that asks this question and it dawned on me that most people are not aware that you can find ILS frequencies in game on the map. You just need to zoom into the airport...if it has ILS you will see a little icon posted at the end of the runway. Just click on it and the ILS frequency will pop up in the NAV window. I have a screenshot to share but I cannot attach it. G'day! Edited September 3, 20205 yr by aussieflying
September 3, 20205 yr What I want is a way to do this in sim once your flight is in progress. Possible? September 3, 20205 yr Just now, odourboy said: What I want is a way to do this in sim once your flight is in progress. Possible? For that you will have to do what real pilots do...use the garmin or the ipad etc. I haven't tried in in msfs2020 with the g1000 but I could get them using the Garmin 500 in fsx, so I imagine you can do the same with the G1000 in msfs 2020.
September 3, 20205 yr That's not what we want. P3D and FSX offered an in game map that had all the frequencies. It's a game after all. By your argument, they shouldn't be in the game at all. Game? 😉 Anyway I don't recall fsx being that way at all....once in flight you would have to exit to the flight plan page or look it up in the garmin. Edited September 3, 20205 yr by aussieflying
September 3, 20205 yr On the tbm at least, you can find ils frequencies on the ‘waypoint info’ button on the mfd. just put the airport’s iaco code in and the rest should be self explanatory (there’s literally a section called ‘frequencies’. Haven’t tried on other planes but presume it’s similar.

Very simple and sad that MSFS doesnt have at least that simplicity. To be honest I wish MSFS had EXACTLY the same UI MSFS Alpha tester on W10 Pro x64. Hardware: AMD 5900X 12 core CPU. I just got in the habit of relying on the fmc for ILS approaches or make sure I had it written down. April 9, 20233 yr You can find the frequencies in the vfr map within msfs though I prefer to get them either from the Garmin system or from Littlenavmap. Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)
April 9, 20233 yr Within the default airports, the VFR map does show the ILS frequencies, however some addon airports dont show the ILS. Its usually left blank.

April 9, 20233 yr With the Smart ILS addon, you can look up runway ILS frequencies while in flight and, after choosing your runway, have the frequency entered into the Nav 1 radio with a single click. Smart ILS opens with a button on the MSFS toolbar. Press key/buttons to enter airport code and see available runways and corresponding frequencies. Then click on the frequency to enter it into Nav 1.
