Defalt FSX B747 fails in P3Dv4...

It seems to install OK.  Everything is there and the engines start.  But about 4 or 5 minutes into a flight the panels go dark and the engines start winding down as if the generators haven't been turned on.  Bu there is no way to turn the generators on.  The overhead panel is for looks only.

Is this a known condition and if it is, is there a fix for it?

Yeah...don't run a 32-bit panel in a 64-bit sim!

I would give this one a try for P3D if you are looking for a freeware aircraft for P3D v4 or purchase the PMDG 747.

That's interesting in light of the fact that I have the following FSX default aircraft flying perfectly in P3Dv4:

It'll only work if *all* of the gauges are xml...even one 32-bit dll will rain on the parade.

I posted here a while back about (trying to) fly the default FSX airbus across the pond in P3D v5. Seemed to fly OK. Haven't tried the 747 myself, though, and I'm not sure what the specific problem is there. At least we know that a lot of the 32-bit planes fly surprisingly well in our 64 bit sim.

Aircreation is fun in P3D, and the FSX Cessna 172 is still my GA FPS champ!

It starts up, taxis, takes off, climbs to altitude, responds to the autopilot, but after about 7 or 8 minutes the engines shut down, the power goes off, and the panels go black.  It has plenty of fuel.

The default B737-800 flies well though.
