September 6, 20205 yr I hope I can explain this. I have been running FS2020 without a hitch. I do have dual monitors with a lot of desktop items on each monitor. Dell monitor and a LG second monitor. AMD RX580 Running 1920X1080 75hz on both. Operating Ryzen 7 16gb Memory 8 graphics. On my Primary Dell screen one of my desktop items is the FS2020 icon to start the game. Great has always worked. Opens on the Primary Monitor and I play the game. Until recently....maybe an update? I dont know. I click on the icon.....everything goes crazy!!!! As it opens (and it plays fine) it takes over the entire Primary monitor...throws all the desktop icons to the secondary monitor and on the second monitor it changes from 1920X1080 75hz to 3840X1080 to 60hz. and under settings windows 10 no longer shows or detects DUAL MONITORS but only the secondary monitor. When done flying I ma still trying to get my old DUAL MONITORING and setting back....I can get it to MIRRORING and for the life of me troubled in obtaining my clean dual monitoring back on correctly. If I unplug the secondary screen my correct Primary Dell screen back and everytime i try to plug in the second back in it still only shows in setting the secondary and wioes out again the Primary. This is the second time this has happened and ONLY WHEN I START FS2020. This only started after the last update. Drivers are up to date. AMD. Any suggestions? I even went out and quickly bought a new secondary screen. All looked great. Dual Monitors working separately. Then I started FS2020 and thing went crazy again even on the new Monitor. thanks everyone
September 7, 20205 yr I had a similar issue before when running dual display setup. Which is why I don't bother with multi display setups anymore. They're more trouble than it's worth. It somehow destroyed my 2nd monitor. After that happened to me, I can no longer set up the display to show up properly anymore. The display's output was garbled and totally incorrrect. It was a display I used as a secondary display for my flight planning app, charts, etc. My main display was 4K while the 2nd display was 1660p. Somehow I think Windows got confused and somehow managed to send it the wrong signals and ended up destroying it. I heard its best if you're going to run multi-displays is that all your displays match, including settings and resolution. So it doesn't confuse the system and GPU. Sorry to hear that happened to you and I hope you're able to fix it and that your monitor is okay. Unfortunately for me, my monitor is messed up and can't display a proper windows desktop anymore. Sigh. September 7, 20205 yr Author thank you so much for responding. I havent flown ( a bit afraid too) but......I did get back to where I was prior and both working properly. I unplugged the HDMI cable from one port to another HDMI port and everything is back to 100%. Still not sure what I am going to do when I fly FS2020. Maybe just turn that off....Ill let you know. Try what I did and maybe you can get your old Monitor up and running.
