I took my first install v4.5 flight this morning out of the same airport KPGD, and I immediately noticed nicer color, a deeper 3D 'depth' to the title...so...for myself...will use this within v4.5  I took another look at the Orbx promo teaser shots...and they look 100 percent like my v4.5 fly overs...so, nobody can convince me otherwise, that they also felt it looked better to sell it, using v4.5.  No bother, most probably have both sim versions, such as myself on their systems. 🙂  Yeah..looks way better...and more enjoyable to view. It must be the Shader sub-routines. Perhaps differences between DX11 and DX12?  Dunno...

P3D v5 looks a lot, lot better than v4.5 once you turn EA on. You can come close in v4.5 with PTA etc, but you can't match it. Plus, v4.5 will never have 3D clouds. I have not run v5 without Truesky for many months, not something I ever want to fly without again.

I think this comparison is with the legacy rendering option ie not TrueSky, so not surprising that the two look pretty similar.

Do you have Miami LatinVFR installed? Now this is the only place where I am getting the error DXGI

In jurisprudence, there is a principle - you look for the person who benefits.

Yes, but haven't tested it yet well enough to be able to comment on stability. I think I last used it in the initial release of v5, and it and the Miami area were pretty taxing for the system.

V5 has modified shaders compared to V4.5.

My V4.5 was modified with my custom PTA presets, for every month a slightly different one.
Now I am using EnvShade and while it has some room to customize some shader settings it does not have the look of V4.5.

But when turning on EA V5 you can see, even while it’s a beta, that it makes the overall image look better than V4.5.

I am still looking for a way to control terrain brightness, objects shadows and post processing...

I like Orbx TE but there does seem to be a lot of overbright, almost burned-out areas in this from looking at screenshots, with glaring white areas. The XP11 version seems much better from what I've seen, but surely it's the same base scenery?

You’re right that if you look carefully there’s overexposed ortho in the city areas. Imagery is the free NAIP/USGS version. Its what forkboy used for the freeware x-plane project.

i tried arc as an alternative, but that terrible for florida. Am going to give google a try.

I ran with EA on.  v4.5 still looks much better in color depth and clarity in rendered ground textures.  Of course, just my opinion on the matter.

Jose, for P3D...it's not bad at all.   No critiques on it running in either v4.5 or 5.HF2.  Both versions run the product just fine. Being that P3D will always be resident,  I think TE Florida is a good 'ocean State' to have fun and Role Play immersion with m Kodiak Quest Amphibian.  So...no regrets, beside the fact of MSFS resident as well.  With me..it was never ever, an either/or flight simulation system situation.  P3D will get punched up, as much as MSFS, but for different flight scenarios and flight expectations.  Cool beans!
