September 14, 20205 yr As follow-up to my earlier Albatros D. III post on the Red Baron, and the comments exchanged therein, here are screenshots of the last fighter aircraft (Fokker Dr. I), that Manfred von Richthofen flew, when he met with his fatal injury, plus a few more (colorful) repaints (the first 7 screenshots) for A2A's Albatros Dr.III (Oeffag). I've included two shots each (last 4 images) for the (rare) "three-winged" Fokker Dr. I. The first pair, the 3-color-mix paint belonged to the Red Baron, and the all-red paint (the last two screenshots) actually belonged to Franz Wolferd, as portrayed in the 2006 film "Flyboys". You may notice the 9-cylinder air-cooled rotary piston engines, half exposed, on the front of these Fokker planes, the same type of powerplants, that Fokker Dr. I's nemesis, the British Camel had also used.
