XP11 steam users: can you adjst IPD in steam to resize cockp

Featured Replies

Hi xplane11 steam users!

I've been flying around in Xplane11 for years but I bought it via .org store.

I've been trying to increase cockpit size in vr for a year or two now. I've set iPd to 58 in oculus software for my rift s.

In p3d you can choose steamvr software to adjust iPd to a lower level to increase cockpit size. Is this possible in Xplane11 via steamvr or does xplane only use oculus software?

Yes, I know the cockpit size in XP11 is accurate but I have a kind of deviation so that I can only fly comfortably when cockpit size is abnormally large.

Thanks for any advice!

Ok, I found a way myself,

Create an xplane11 shortcut and add

" --steamvr" to the name (space before the two minus signs...)

If you activate vr in Xplane11 it will run through steam VR. Oculus tray tool and ovr tools are not working anymore.

Super sampling and ipd are both set in steam.

I use this to increase the cockpit size which I need to see everything clearer.

Cheers

I'm surprised because when launching XP11 via Steam (I've added it to Steam, it is not a Steam purchase), the hardware IPD adjustment on the Index doesn't make any difference as-if XP11 is using the default IPD setting (the one set in Steam\Config\steamvr.vrconfig / ipdOffset )

There is an XP11 command line you can try also:

--override_ipd = 0.03

I believe this would set it to +- 30mm in this case, i.e IPD = 6cm.
