New PC / True to expectations?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone!

I have a new PC on the way and I’m expecting to play MSFS at med/high settings, and X Plane 11 with FF A320 with 30 FPS+

This is the configuration I ordered:

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600XT w/stock cooler (Not doing any OC)

MOBO: Asus TUF X570-Plus (Wi-fi)

GPU: Asus Dual RTX 2060 Super 8GB OC

RAM: 16GB (2x8 Spectrix D41 TUF at 3000MHz)

STORAGE: 512GB SSD M.2 Spectrix S40G (2x)

PSU: Coolermaster 650W

Case: ASUS TUF GT301 (3 frontal 120mm fans + 1 fan at the back)

My question is if I can add another pair of 8GB sticks in order to get 32GB RAM total. This is the exact model of RAM: AX4U300038G16-SB41

What do you guys think about my expectations for this build? Thanks in advance!

That X570 board has 4 DIMM slots so you could add another 2 x 8GB if you wanted to.

I recommend to use 2x16 GB instead of 4x8GB. It'll leave room to expand in the future. Using 2 memory slots instead of 4 is also easier for the memory controller I believe.

Flightsim rig:
PC: AMD 5900x with Dark Rock Pro 4 cooler | MSI X570 MEG Unify | 32GB G.Skill Trident Z Neo | Gigabyte Aorus Master RTX 3090 | Corsair RM850x | Fractal Define 7 XL
AV: Acer Predator x34 3440x1440 monitor | Logitech Z906 speakers
Controllers: Fulcrum One Yoke | MFG Crosswind v2 pedals | Honeycomb Bravo TQ | Stream Deck XL | TrackIR 5
