3080 MFS FPS measurements

Conclusion:

For 1080 HD it doesn't help much, sim is probably too much CPU limited.

For 4K it makes a difference, 100% more FPS than a 2070.

I was going to get it thinking at 1080 I would get a massive increase in performance. Looks like its only marginal at best. 700 bucks isnt worth an average of 7-8 frames more when I am getting a smooth ride now.

Oh! That was surprising. I would guess the jump from my 2080Ti would be more significant (at 3440x1440). Would like to know how the 3090 stacks up against those numbers.

7 fps for 700.  100 dollars a frame.  I'll hold off until 3090 reviews.  Not really worth upgrading from 2080ti yet.

I do not believe we will get a better performance even with Rtx 3090, what is needed is that the game is well optimized.

Slightly off topic. Am on 1080p can someone tell me if it’s like night and day between 1080 and 4K. Kind of where my decision lies now that an VR.

At 1080p a 3090 is not going to help much.

At 4k the GPU power helps a lot and apparently the 3080 can crank out some 40 FPS.

MFS is in need of a move to DX12 and DLSS, then the 3000 series will shine.
