This MSFS has to be the single most immersive  simulated flying experience to date .Dropping out of the clouds and joining mid field at Gibraltar to join downwind , base and final over the water is just so impressive .Yeah you need a fairly good pc to enjoy it fully and the people who have all these so called problems that others don't ,really need to look at their pc and perhaps spend some coin on it .....  I've been using fsx since day dot and this is just fantastic ....and will only get better ..Happy times

When I stopped using FSX anymore I did not go making posts about it. What's it's for attention? Stop, leave.

With due respect mate, can you, or anyone else, tell me in all honesty, which sim was ready for prime time at launch or even 12 months after launch. Expecting the world from this is an futile and fruitless endeavour. MS and Asobo will certainly fix some things in the basic sim.  They have already released two fixes and plan on at least one update per month (in the roadmap) Don't expect the world with these either, although they will certainly improve many things. 

In reality, it is the 3PDs that will make this sim truly great and that fact has been demonstrated through flight sim history. Nothing is changing here other than starting from an incredibly better base platform. 

Basically, the quoted statement is correct, and previously voiced by many, but, is it really relevant, given the past history of all sim platforms, and the Developers already proven committment, to making this sim much better.

It's been said before, this sim is a work (game) in progress. Heck I can't even achieve a proper flare in a 172 and ASOBO eliminated the sensitivity section with the release of SP2. There will be growing pains, so get over it!

Unlike the OP, I'm glad I bought MSFS. It's fun to have a new game to test the performance of your CPU & GPU. 😀

ROFLMAO. I've read so many forum about MSFS that are repeating exactly the same things people complained about FSX from 2006-2007, that it isn't even funny anymore. I still remember these: runs like a word not allowed, FS9 is superior in every way, no addons etc.

Like, duh. FSX was a mess at least up to the SP1 which was released about 6 months after launch. FSX (and pretty much any other civilian aviation sim) have included only very basic aircraft with the package, something that can be easily made with the basic SDK tools. Correct me if I'm wrong, but better 3rd party creations arrived to FSX months later and I think it is quite normal that sims that has been available for years and decades offer quite a bit more on the addon front compared to a product launched few weeks ago.

I didn't even have FSX at launch, but my personal initial impressions with MSFS ahs been much more positive compared to those with FSX. Poor performance was just atrocious and even in the later days it was endless balancing act depending on the what aircraft, scenery and weather you had.

I agree that there has been and still is issues with MSFS2020 and dellaying launch few months would've probably removed most issues. But in this regard it really is not that much different from its predecessor. MSFS at least on my system has much more consistent performance across the board no matter what daytime, weather or location you have, it looks extremely good out of the box and has more refined things such as weather engine.

That may be partly true, but seems overstated.

At times it is the choice of words.  I made that mistake about ten days ago when I said something like "I still do my ________  flying with FSX SE".  What I should have said is that it's because I fly a purposeful schedule based on a MLB team and do not have the available time to fly a route twice, or even three times to reliably get there. 

Yesterday I did some elective flying in MFS to check out the update, live weather, and to familiarize myself with the AP improvement in the G58.  I had sim issues with two of three flights and I profiled that experience in a separate topic here. 

Today I am due to fly from Chicago to Cincinnati.  Have time to fly it just once.  It will be in my Milviz B55.

Go White Sox.  In first place in division now by 3 games, best record in the American League, and now 2nd best record in MLB.  Won 8 of last 10 games.  Cincinnati is also hot, winning 7 of their last 10.  Should be a great three game series.  And I plan to make it!

@Chock my PC specs are in my sig. Do you think I could run MSFS? The processor is ancient I know, 12 years now.
