this game is miles ahead of p3d or xplane we just need decent aircraft like pmdg then it will be brilliant.

Microsoft has a mkt cap of over a trillion dollars, LM one hundredth that and God-knows what Laminar is worth, so the expectation that they could release a simulator and not a game, is not far fetched. Where is VR? Am I going to have to pay hundreds of dollars for PMDG and A2A addons?  When will this thing be ready for to flown online without fear of crashing or faulty avionics?

If you just want to fly online with airliner avionics  then there are other options for you - as you already know.  From what I can see here you are simply trolling for reaction.  Well, you have 5 pages of it.  But keep posting..

I agree, when more 3rd party aircraft developers arrive it will great!

For me the patch hasn’t really changed much. My FPS seem worse though it could be the (fake) fog that I was flying through that didn’t exist out my window. At this point, the graphics don’t really wow much as just wanting functioning avionics, weather, and flight models. I might try again when VR comes out, but I am starting to regret falling for the hype. If you want to show people your house, great; if you want to learn how to operate an aircraft, look elsewhere.

Ok.

I'm having an awesome time.

But you aren't supposed to!

keep talking...

In two or 3 years time, if I am bored i will come back to the forums and search for User post around of this date, then see what you are flying currently in the future time and tease you making you eat your words...just for fun

You do realise that if you respect the right for someone to have an opinion, then you should also respect the right for people to have the opposite opinion too, don't you?

Suggesting that it is somehow 'shocking' to express a contrary opinion, when moments earlier you were espousing that people have a right to their opinion and that it should be respected, appears to be demonstrate that you do not practice what you preach. Ironically, this would seem to be an example of the intolerance you are claiming is shocking to you.

The fact that a larger number of people express a similar opinion one doesn't agree with does not instantly make them a 'baying crowd', it makes them a majority which you happen to disagree with.

Exactly.  Everybody has a right to an opinion.  Nobody has the right to an unchallenged opinion.

When will people realize here you must bend the knee and kiss Asobos ring or be ostracized.

This is not a sim but a religion.  Say 20 Jorg or whatever there names are and go in peace my brother.

It's almost like a certain movement in a certain country.

Sucks for you, it's not perfect yet but I'm loving it and JUST the fact that we have a new sim and devs actively working on it is AMAZING. PS: Maybe you hyped it up yourself 😉

Its a passion, just like any other hobby or recreational activity.

Go find a forum where bass boater's will argue to the death about how a Merc is better'n 'Rude, or Honda. etc.  Or a golf forum where its Ping vs Taylormade vs Callaway on who's the best....you get the point. 🙂

This type of passion/response pattern exists in every other hobbyist forums. 😉

It just seems that a lot of folks vehemently defend MSFS, well...because they really enjoy it and think it's the best initial released product we've ever seen, and when someone trashes it (and I get it if you're really experiencing bad issues you can't resolve), they'll be quick to offer an opposing point of view.

I've always felt that screenshots help...and why I'll occasionally include one or two to make my point.  Out of the box...NEVER has their been a sim that looks like this:

JYpHUX.jpg

Or performed as well (for me at least)...and included the entire world.

@Chock my PC specs are in my sig. Do you think I could run MSFS? The processor is ancient I know, 12 years now.

It'd only cost you a quid to find out.

I replaced my I7 920 system only 6 months ago. Still using the GTX 1060 in MSFS though, until that 3080 or 3090 arrives.
I did replace the I7 920 a few years earlier with a 6 core Xeon 5660 which uses the same socket. For only €45 that was a good deal. it overclocked without much effort to 3.8Ghz.

The GTX1060 can handle the sim with most settings on high, flying GA's in Alaska or Europe is fun and fine. Fast or complex aircraft around large cities might be problematic, but you can always lower some settings.
Your CPU is the limiting factor. I don't know whether a Xeon upgrade is sufficient to make it less of an issue. It's a cheap upgrade but €45 is still expensive if it doesn't work out.

Best option is to switch to an entirely new system but If you can't. I recommend trying the sim out using an Xbox subscription for a month or so to decide whether that I7 920 can handle it.
