Mobo recommendations for i9 10850K

My rig blew up, so here I am contemplating a major upgrade...

Am considering an Asus Maximus Hero XII at £399, or an Asus  STRIX Z490-F GAMING at £235..

Primarily I want the mobo to provide a good basis for the CPU overclock, grateful for any comments/thoughts as to other pluses/minuses apart from the price differential above?

If your budget is OK to stretch to the Asus one then you'll be sorted. It's a very good all round board and will allow you to overclock your chip to its limits assuming you have the necessary cooling, etc. in place too.

Using the Maximus XII Hero here with a 10900K.  Overclock to 5.2GHz was easy and it's running quite stable.  I like having three NVME slots, and the board came with the M.2 hardware for all three (some cheaper boards do not).

I've got three of the Maximus Hero boards...two Maximus XI Z390 boards and the XII Z490 board--all have been very good for overclocking (i7-8086K, i9-9900K, i9-10900K).

Any recommendations on compatible, fast memory (32gb), preferably RGB?

Not RGB but I went with this:

G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Intel XMP 2.0 Desktop Memory Model F4-3600C16D-32GVKC

Got it from Newegg.
