There seems to be a temp fix.. have tried it and finally got a complete flight with no Avionics issues....

Set "Ground Aircraft Density" to 0     Yeah sounds odd, but seems to work., and no on the mooney, resetting the main Avionics switch doesn't reset it.

I'll try that!

As for the Avionics switch, the suggestion actually was to map two buttons to Avionics Master 1 and 2 and push those in an emergency..

ahhh okay  didn't see that one, but I did just have my first succesful Mooney flight after 20 failures by setting the aircraft ground density to 0 which was a 2 hour flight on GPS IFR all the way and shooting an ILS approach at the end 🙂

The only thig I had to do a couple of times was the nav off nav on to stop yawing 🙂

System specs...   CPU AMD5950,  GPU AMD6900XT,  ROG crosshair VIII Hero motherboard, Corsair 64 gig LPX 3600 mem, Air cooling on GPU,   Kraken x pump cooling on CPU.  Samsung G7 curved 27" monitor at 2k resolution ULTRA default settings.

Anyone else's transponder not working right? When I manually change the code, it isn't picked up by the ATC, and if I do it automatically from the ATC panel, it doesn't change on the transponder.

So, went and bought it. Some issues so far after first flight:

- Engine sound keeps 'popping'. It's like when the sound loops. Gets bit annoying after a while.

- The 'not following NAV properly' swaying

- The views. What were they thinking, when binding the look left and right to non-default views (L wing fuel gauge(?) and back)? Makes no sense at all. For those who know better, can this be fixed in CAMERAS.CFG?

- All the turnable knobs are stupidly sensitive. It's impossible to set anything by one step. Even slightest tap on the mouse button changes the setting 2-4 steps.

Luckily I have avoided the avionics power bug (in default planes also), so no problems there. I had some issues with vor navigation, but I'll put that on myself for not knowing the plane well enough.

When they go blank, can you bring them back by forcing the (mapped) Avionics master?

Nope.  I switched over to the CJ4 with all the new user mods.  Currently at FL310 between KPDX and KPHX.  This is like a totally new airplane with all the updates and mods and they have plenty more in mind.

Just going to have to wait until something official comes along for the Mooney.

Where do you set "Ground Aircraft Density 0"?

General Options. Traffic

Doing this appears to sort out the avionics shutting off, just flew the A320 for a long time where normally the avionics conk out PDQ, but now with no problems on that score thanks to putting the ground aircraft density to zero, but it doesn't prevent the engine in the A320 from conking out when you shut off the APU, so that's obviously a different issue:

I knew that my eyes were not deceiving me. Take a look at the GNS. Bert what do you see?

My first impression is that is not as good as the XP version but it's a keeper. Everything good I've read I can confrm.

Just need to fix a throttle issue I have. It's erratic.

Did anyone figure out how to turn on overhead light? Basically all light switched NAV, BCN, TAXI and so are not lit at night. So the only way to see them I believe is turn on overhead lights

Did you try the yoke button behind ipad?

Try left door.

Just bought this did a quick test from KSAN to KLAX.  Do you have to adjust the course on the HSI in GPS NAV Mode?  I had to do this manually for each leg of the sector to match the GNS 430.  Not sure if this is a feature of an older aircraft?  I'm rather lazy lol.

Thanks I got it! I usually toggle yoke off, that is why I couldn't find it! LOL

I don't specifics about "R" model but usually CDI or HSI must be compatible with GNS430 or 530; otherwise, they won't display GPS course. When I install GNS430W in my 172 I had to toss original CDI and replace it with Garmin G106B so they can be paired. It could be the same deal here

I might to deal with the throttle issue until SP3 or I can get FSUIPC to recognize TQ6 levers.

I guess the control surface sensitivity is not different from the default planes, or is it?

Happy with MSFS 🙂
