New computer - first flight results

For those looking at computer specs for MSFS this may, or may not, help.

i7 10700K, Asus Maximus XII Hero, RTX 2060 Super, 32GB 3600Mhz Corsair RAM, 500GB 970 EVO M.2, and 2TB EVO 860 SSD.

KMRY-KRHV-KSFO with Ultra settings and few clouds (12:00 local). Cessna 172 at 5000 AGL.

FPS 40-45
Max RAM 17.3 GB
Max VRAM 6.9 GB
Max CPU load 61% (core 2)
Max CPU temp 63C (core 5)

Max GPU load 100%
Max GPU temp 78C
Total bandwidth used 664 MB

Good results? Bad results? Average results? Don't care...I'm happy.

Congrats on the new computer. I just finished building a 10900K@5.2 with DDR-4 4400 on a Asus Hero board. I'm using a temp video card just for the buildup and waiting for a possible 3080 with 20gb of vram. For now I'm using the old box for flying.

I see this motherboard for $400 on newegg.  I bet you could have gotten something equivalent in performance for $250-$300.  Put the saved $150-$100 on a better gfx card.  Did you buy this just recently?  The rtx 3070 will cost $500 due october.  Does the price you paid for the 2060 super+$150=$500? if so, :0   even if you couldnt have waited, you could still have gotten a better gfx card thats available now.  Not that you will return things and do this, its more for others to consider this strategy.

I'm glad you're such an expert but my daddy didn't raise no dummies. I bought the hardware at an estate sale for USD$1100...total. But, I did pay retail for the Windows 10 pro. Does that meet with your approval?

Not sure why you'd do all that and get a 2060 Super, which gives the exact same performance as my 3-year-old 1080. Depends on what you're upgrading from I guess.

You are heavily GPU limited.
It doesnt fit into the rest of the system regarding MSFS.

I would be very concerned getting that result on such a rig and i think your GPU is well underpowered for MSFS.
