Alot of lagging and stuttering

Personally, though, I never have any other tasks running. Apart from my antivirus. But it worked with my antivirus running pre-patch, so again I'm hoping the developers fix what they've broken, if that's the case, rather than my having to disable antivirus. It'll be interesting to see if it does have an effect in the meantime, though...

Taking a risk giving my computer Aids just play MSFS 2020 smoothly 😂

It just happens all of a sudden. Just done a flight again and it's perfect for 90% of the flight. Then on descent it starts stuttering extremely bad.

This is becoming beyond frustrating.

EDIT

POWER USAGE in task manager is "very high"

CPU 33%

NEMORY 64%

GPU 9%

Yes, I've always assumed stuttering is to do with the streaming -- but maybe it's on their server side.

My typo may have not made sense. I meant to say bogged down servers in my last sentence.

On decent you get closer to the ground, therefore you draw more objects. You need to alter your settings and figure out what ones are causing the stutter. I would start with LOD and watch and see if any of your CPU cores hit 100%, you never want any to hit 100%. That's what induces the stutters. Try get the main CPU core at around 80-90% so it has a little headroom.

Where can I find the LOD settings? Sorry very new to this.

Also, why is it only now that this is happening? My CPU usage and everything seems quite low?

That's your combined  CPU usage. It doesn't necessarily mean that your main core isn't reaching 100%. Open the task manager and keep an eye on it there. You'll see all cores. Your total usage may only be 33%, but I bet the main core is at or close to 100%.

LOD = level of detail slider. There is one for terrain and one for buildings.

Here is an example of mine for you:- notice how total usage is only 22%, but my main core runs at 80-95% (my last core). I keep it below 100% to avoid stuttering.

This is logical on the surface, but stuttering that wasn't there before has been introduced by the latest patch, as Flight Bandit has also evidently experienced, and not just close to the ground (for me). I rarely had a stutter (since upgrading RAM to 32GB) prior to this patch, but now it's constant and at times terrible. I have changed nothing on my end to cause this degradation in performance.

The developers need to investigate this problem, which hopefully they will as these issues are being reported to them by numerous people over at the official forum, along with botched TAA implementation that used to work perfectly.

"OKKK i think i am onto something(AGAIN). Software called "Park control"  The most interesting value there is "Freq Scaling DC".

I set it to Enabled and and put 100% then press apply.

If someone having similar issue with stutters as me, please try and let me know. I know this could work now and after 1 hour it wont."

Is this the topic you are referring too? where can I find these options?

Hahaha literally a rabbit hole!

Earlier this morning, over on the official issues thread that Asobo review, I entertained the thought that perhaps Asobo haven't introduced a problem with their patch, that perhaps the Nvidia driver, which updated on the same day, is at fault.

Well, I decided to go on over to Reddit, and found someone else with a stuttering issue post-patch. They had the same idea as me, so they have rolled back the Nvidia driver to the previous version and have found the stuttering issue resolved. Someone else in that discussion has corroborated this.

I will hopefully get time to try this today, and have everything crossed that it turns out to be a Nvidia issue, not a sim bug.

Give this a try, Flight Bandit, and see how you get on.
