Well, I decided to go on over to Reddit, and found someone else with a stuttering issue post-patch. They had the same idea as me, so they have rolled back the Nvidia driver to the previous version and have found the stuttering issue resolved. Someone else in that discussion has corroborated this. I will hopefully get time to try this today, and have everything crossed that it turns out to be a Nvidia issue, not a sim bug. Give this a try, Flight Bandit, and see how you get on. Thank you very much. I presume I can roll back the nvidia driver via my nvidia control panel? Sorry for all the questions. I'm useless when it comes to this
September 24, 20205 yr Author Just to add more confusion to the whole thing.. I did a full flight from Dublin to Heathrow. Had bad stutters on descent where I had to exit the game. I done the same flight but use the "travel to" function to final. No settings changed and completely fine. Absulutley fine. Really have no explanation to this

I'm useless when it comes to this You need to open Device Manager in Windows. Find your GPU under Display Adapter in Device Manager. Right-click your GPU, select properties, select the driver tab, then click the roll back button. For me, this option was greyed out, which makes sense as I think I did a clean install for the latest driver update. No problem, because you have another option: go to Nvidia's website and download the older driver from there (the last stable driver was dated 17th August, I think). So, I've done that this evening and can confirm that performance has increased. I can fly without stutters again. It seems that the latest Nvidia driver is at fault, not the latest sim patch. And that's fine with me; I'll stick with the August driver for now.
