September 28, 20205 yr Well, it is now open. I suggest you go take a look and insert whatever you feel like XP would need. Of course there is no certainty in anything (especially considering that Austin does what Austin likes), but it is still worth a try 🙂 https://feedback.x-plane.com/ Chock 1.1: "The only thing that whines louder than a jet engine is a flight simmer."
September 28, 20205 yr Thanks for the post Pasta. Many of the suggestions posted were brought up in the past to Laminar. Others were barns on farms, ranches etc. airport ground functions. Terrain, I would love to fly in a revamped Lazio region in Italy.I have my fingers crossed . Happy Flying Pastaiolo. Ciao!!!!

Well they did this board, so there is hope. Perhaps this will give them a better idea of what at least a part of the user base would like. For XP12 lighting and clouds should be improved, so that's great already because they do a lot immersion wise i think Chock 1.1: "The only thing that whines louder than a jet engine is a flight simmer."
September 29, 20205 yr Better insight for aircraft developers also.Seems like we are closer to XP-12 now.Happy Flying!!! Edited September 29, 20205 yr by Paul Deluca
September 29, 20205 yr I'm beginning to think that 11.50 is the end of XP 11. On the other hand, Austin and Co should have asked its customer base about "what features do you care for" a long time ago, needles to say most of these, they already know about. The question is what timeframe to expect until XP 12 gets released? Is 2021 realistical, or do we have to add some years. It has been said there will be some content shown after the situation calms down from the current circumstances (FS). 11.50 is a great integration of the Vulkan technology, likely a foundation for the graphics that will be developed in XP12. But that might also mean the development of the new graphics has just begun. Edited September 30, 20205 yr by BigDee

October 1, 20205 yr Here's a suggestion. Fix all the known bugs and graphics defects! Fix the lost devices and crashes to desktop! Fix multicore. Fix loading times. Over 5 minutes each time and SSD makes zero difference. It's bad code. Make Vulkan engine perform as it is supposed to run. Identify and fix the horrible bottle necks that kill FPS. Stop blaming all third parties. Stop breaking backwards compatibility! Stop breaking art controls and lua scripts! Stop and End Linux and Glo-Mo! Every update addresses reported bugs. 2 hours ago, Greazer said: Fix the lost devices and crashes to desktop! Did you not read my last reply to you? This is not an X-Plane issue. This is a Vulkan/nvidia/AMD issue. 2 hours ago, Greazer said: Fix multicore. What's wrong with it? Multicore now works with Vulkan/Metal. 2 hours ago, Greazer said: Fix loading times. Over 5 minutes each time and SSD makes zero difference. Unless you're talking about a new driver being installed, this is a blatant lie. And even with a new GPU driver, there's no way it would take over 5 minutes. I have an SSD and it takes me less than 45 seconds to load X-Plane. 2 hours ago, Greazer said: Make Vulkan engine perform as it is supposed to run. ?????? I've lost count how many people have reported massive performance increases while running on Vulkan. 2 hours ago, Greazer said: Identify and fix the horrible bottle necks that kill FPS. What would they be? X-Plane can't squeeze out more performance from the GPU and/or CPU if the performance isn't there. 2 hours ago, Greazer said: Stop blaming all third parties. Some add ons are not compatible with Vulkan. This is simply fact. An add on that has OpenGL code needs to be updated to run under Vulkan. There is no way around this. 2 hours ago, Greazer said: Stop breaking backwards compatibility! This is just a ridiculous statement. This would mean an add on that was made in X-Plane 8 should run in X-Plane 11, without any changes or fixes in the add on. Ridiculous. Do you still run a PC with 3.5" floppy discs? October 1, 20205 yr That's like flying into a futuristic airport with a Ford Trimotor. Thumbs up Goran!!!! It is what it is. Plain and simple. Edited October 1, 20205 yr by Paul Deluca
October 1, 20205 yr It's clear than anyone asking to end XP glo-mo (supposedly because "it steals resources from desktop development") is either a troll or has the IQ of a turnip. Make your call! "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".
