Florida and LVFR KMIA on a 6 year old PC

Featured Replies

First my PC Spec, 4790k@ 4.6, 16GB DDR3 and a 1070

Setting, I thought I might be really pushing it to get smooth and hold 30 FPS, nope! Live weather

My-Settings.png

I made RTSS show FPS so you could see, FPS locked at 30.

Random screen shots.

The world is a wonder thing to explore in MSFS.

Pretty sweet.  I purchased FSDT's KEYW and LatinVFR's KMIA.  I'm now shuttling Pax and Cargo between those two airports with the C208.

Flying out of KEYW heading Northeast at 5000 as the sun is setting behind me illuminating the clouds ahead of me  is a sight to behold

Yes it is and that flight above was from KEYW 🙂

All we need now is fslabs A32X :) I do like the default A320 mod's cockpit textures though.

Beech Baron: Uh, Tower, verify you want me to taxi in front of the 747?
ATC: Yeah, it's OK. He's not hungry.

X-Plane 12 and MSFS2020  🙂

System specs: Windows 11  Pro 64-bit, Ubuntu Linux 20.04 i7-13700KF  Gigabyte Z790 RTX-4060-Ti , 32GB RAM  1X 2TB M2 for X-Plane 12,  1x256GB SSD for OS. 1TB drive MSFS2020

Nice! My 4770K 4.4 GHz + 1070 also run pretty good but at 1440p, which means I have to take a few sliders down a bit. Still very good for a 7 year old CPU.

I want a Regional Jet or a turbo prop commuter.  PMDG had a Beech 1900 in their "lite" collection for FS9 that was ideal.  Both Delta and American are squeezing A319's onto that small runway, barely.

I'd love a CRJ or an E17x or perhaps a SAAB or ATR.

Excellent results for that spec!  👍

I think I am getting addicted to MSFS actually.  In some ways it is better than I expected.

I am working around the bugs and missing features for now and still managing to enjoy it immensely!

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

PS.  Thanks for posting your settings.

Your lighting looks so natural and realistic.  Mine seems just a bit off.

I might need to see if I have adjusted something slightly away from datum on my Nvidia settings.

Then again, I thought things were looking a bit orangey the other night, and I found I had left the windows 'night light' on!  🙄

I actually had the nerve to take up the A320 the other day.  Judging from reax on this forum I was expecting it to be unflyable.  I took a tutorial on YouTube to kind of explain the FMC and the autopilot modes and how the AT works, etc.etc.  Took off from KFLL to KBDL to mimic a flight I will actually be taking this Thursday.  It was sublime.

Awesome. Thanks for sharing. I think I am going to have to pick KEYW and KMIA up!

Have you tried it with V0.3 of the mod - even better!  👍  Then again, might be worth waiting for tomorrows big update now.

I actually have only an i7-4770, a GTX 1060 and only 8GB of RAM (because my mainboard or CPU always produce a BSOD when I install 16 GB), but still I can fly with 30 fps on high settings almost everywhere.

I love this sim and discovered fascinating places in Africa, Asiaand even in New Jersey. 🙂

October or November I am going to buy a new PC with am i7-10700K or similar, an RTX 3080 and 32GB so I can run the game in 4K.

DAM! They look real!

MSFS

Pretty slick pics.  I've got both airports and they are fantastic.

Here are some stock images...averaging 27 to 30 FPS.
