Partly cloudy and lightning all over!

The amount of data Meteoblue got is insane. They even got desert dust concentration data ! If only they could combine all this data into the sim that would be something !

you mean like this? LOL...the lighting is real because it is in fact raining here BUT the clouds are are topping out at 2,000 feet.  Pretty sure they need to be up in the 20,000s at least...

Florida storms!

P.S. Sorry I cant embed the picture, only been able to figure that out once or twice.

The data is there. Meteoblue defiantly got the tools. Its Asobo's task to implement them into the sim.

I thought I had lightning where it shouldn't be because there were few clouds (MDPC), but according to Meteoblue and Ligtning Map there are thunderstorms and lighning there. So I guess the sim lightning is correct after all, it's just weird to have lightning with few clouds. Probably it's the cloud coverage that is wrong.

Here the clouds and the sky in MFS match reality very well, but the lightning does not belong, as it is not storming IRL, nor would the cloud cover generate lighting (real life or in the game). It's just another typical autumn day here, so this lightning is very much out of place.

yhh it appears that any vertical clouds now triggers lightning... As well here in central Europe, no lightning whatsoever, lots of lightning in sim.

I am also in the "Thunder and lightning for no reason" camp Is this something the new REX Weather program would solve?
