A320 keeps banking on final

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

keep having this issue where the A320 keeps banking on final just before touchdown, banking left or right for a wing tip strike.

Im approaching around 150KTS, ive got the v3 mod installed and updates to the latest version of the sim. no other ac does it except this one.

is anyone else having the fault?.

kind regards.

All good for me both on autopilot and on final during approach.

This always happens on a manual approach.

i cant be my controls setup because the A/C fly's dead straight on any other phase of flight. kind of frustrating tbh.

Even on manual, the aircraft behavior is perfect. Really.  In fact, the plane is so stable that it feels as if it's not moving. Approach speed at full flaps 140.  I use real weather, so I am not sure if you're landing in a crosswind, the aircraft behavior changes. Try it with no winds.

The A320 mod is broken because of the patch and needs an update before it's useable again..  get rid of it until it's updated.

FYI, rarely does "Nope, works for me" help when dealing with software issues. No offense.

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

if your talking about black screens, there's a new update in the master folder so everything's works regarding that issue

Interesting

I experience the exact issue , manually.  And, the 747 ?? For get it.... Unflayble... It bounces (pitch) up and down during slow flight (approach) like a bubble-head.. no  kidding . If you pull on the yoke up or down, the effect/response is huge.  Not sure what causes this or if some settings needs correction. Only these 2 a/c does this.

I get the same thing and it has been reported by others. As you start the flare, the wing drops. It's the right wing for me.

Thank god its not just me, was bugging me for ages.

Huh?  Knowing that a bug is not happening to everybody is very useful.  Now sure, that does tend to mean the problem is going to be harder to fix, but the truth is the truth.  More than one person has reported it, so I believe it’s happening to them, but isn’t happening here.  My issue with the bus on landing has been that it doesn’t move, I get the impression that even with the autopilot off it would land itself half the time.  That’s the opposite thing.  Why is that? No idea, but knowing your problem isn’t universal does help.

Hi Bilal2104,

The same exact thing happens to me on the A-320.  On very short final just before (or during the flare), either the left or right wing drops, and when you try to correct it, you get a delayed reaction in the opposite direction causing a real mess during the landing. This was already happening in my case before this last update. Unfortunately, has still not been corrected after this latest update.

For those not encountering the bug, this is what happens. I will say this is a tame version of the bug; usually I'm wing-scraping with full rudder to try and counter-roll the uncommanded aileron.
