That works. Also FSUIPC can be used to set up the TQ. And there is a sim option to Toggle Reverse Mode - so you map a button to that and when you click it and advance the throttle it is in reverse mode. I don't use it but I recall seeing it in the options.

  • In fs2020 the toggle is a bit tricky, in that once you "toggle" reverse, you need to push the throttle levers forward. Unfortunately, the toggle does not always engage, so you find the plane accelerating. Additionally, you cannot verify the toggle without having to look at the screen during the most critical landing phase.
  • I'd love to have MS add an "audible " click for the reverse feature.

I use FSUIPC with the CH Throttle quadrant and assign the axis to both thrust and reverse, so detent is idle, backwards from detent is reverse and forwards is throttle. Just be sure to clear all the bindings from inside the sim itself for the device.

Thanks for the help.  I used the toggle method.  Works pretty good although I fear it may be a trip off into the Rhubarb one of these landings.

well it's sort of a cheat but if you switch immediately to external mode when you toggle REV you will see REV and the power arc will be red in the throttle displayed lower left corner, a quick flick back to internal if needed or stay external and watch the cans extend etc. IMHO, staying in cockpit view and trying to look at the actual gauges will waste time.

Which FSUIPC version are you using? I tried the latest beta version, but it messed up a lot of my settings, so I uninstalled it.

Thanks
