October 1, 20205 yr If my question's been answered elsewhere, please direct me to it. Thanks. If not, here's the question: I've been flying for what seems like years in P3Dv4.5 HF3 with this setup, which works flawlessly: A2A aircraft, GoFlight modules, networked Air Manager, networked Pilot2ATC, Brunner yoke and rudders, RXP GNS, and the OPUS Buttkicker program. Does FS 2020 support any of these, or have something equal or better? Thanks again. Forever indebted to the late Michael Greenblatt of FSGS.
October 1, 20205 yr A2A= not yet rxp gns = no other items not sure. If I had to do it over again, I would have waited to purchase msfs for probably the next 4-12 months. When I first got it I was in awe(I have a few posts here at avsim that shows I was impressed initially), but it faded fast as time went on and you start seeing and noticing the shortcomings in its current state. I’m certain it will be the go to sim in the future and I don’t overly regret purchasing it, but at the moment it really isn’t the go to sim yet in my opinion. Stay away from FS for at least 6-8 months just like PMDG, Qualitywings, Aerosoft etc 😉 If not, you choose your destiny
October 1, 20205 yr With MSFS right now you get an amazing looking sim with authentic flight dynamics of fantasy aircraft. 🙂 It's more of an Early Access right now. Second half 2021 it is if you are into hardcore simming. Happy with MSFS 🙂 home simming evolved
October 1, 20205 yr To me p3d has no life. It's static compared to the new sim. I was a big fan of heavies, but I'm having way more fun doing short hops in the tbm, sr22 and king air. There are so many places to explore. It's not perfect but it made me feel excited about flying again.
October 1, 20205 yr Commercial Member Cant hurt to experience that initial awe that we felt loading up the first VFR flight in MSFS. If you got the cash, just get it.

I can add to this, Im having a hard time coming to terms with using msfs due to its short comings, but at the same time, I’m having a hard time using P3D only because seeing and knowing what could become of msfs and what the possibilities can be in a flight sim has put me at a stand still with all simulators.. I can’t go back to P3D, but at the same time I’m not too interested in using msfs in its current state, so I will be putting flight simulator aside completely for the next 6 months or so until msfs matures..But seeing as how the OP hasn’t yet tried msfs, I would stick to p3d if I were you. In the short term, msfs may ruin flight simulation as whole if you jump in now...It did for me anyways Edited October 1, 20205 yr by flyinpilot212121 Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.

I don't know if I could sit by and wait looking at all the videos and screenshots just because a few default planes doesn't model the features I want. When I switched to XP I mostly flew ga planes and the ixeg before zibo came along. I just find myself doing short flights since I can just jump in and fly then go do whatever I have to do with the rest of my day.
October 1, 20205 yr Are you happy with P3D? Can you wait 6 to 12 months? I ask these questions because MSFS is going to ruin you once you have experienced this level of visuals. Hard to go back because P3D will seem VERY dated once you've tried MSFS. And then, when you've uninstalled P3D, you will realize that MSFS needs at least 6 to 12 months to be ready for serious simming. Can you live with VFR / GA flights until then? Lol...Exactly what happend to me, I uninstalled p3d after using msfs, can’t really be bothered to re-install and would rather wait 6-12 months for msfs to be in its prime, or close to than to go back to p3d unfortunately. October 1, 20205 yr Author I guess nobody knows the answer(s) to my questions? I know about the FS differences. Just want to know if any of my stuff works in the new sim. Forever indebted to the late Michael Greenblatt of FSGS.

XPForce has a FS2020 version that works on the ground and during takeoff and landing but there seem issues with the in-flight forces being too weak or even missing. I do not think FS Force support the game yet.
