October 2, 20205 yr A point I meant to make in my last response, is that whilst it is early days in the life of this thread, it is impossible not to notice that it is only people who are largely trouble free who are responding. By that I mean that under normal circumstances, it is the people with problems who consistently start, long and loudly, most MSFS threads. I just find it unusual that in a thread which is obviously intended to help these people, there is no (so far) response from them. As I said, it is early days at this stage and I hope we get a better response shortly. Tony Tony Chilcott. My System. Motherboard. ASRock Taichi X570 CPU Ryzen 9 3900x (not yet overclocked). October 2, 20205 yr maybe you not running msfs to its full capacity I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg

Framerates capped at 20 vsync on. To avoid excessive stutters and framerate dips, I fly in and out of small airports only. Having a ton of fun. Yeah, keep telling me I'm not running MSFS "to its full capacity". Edited October 2, 20205 yr by Ricardo41
October 2, 20205 yr so your not running msfs to its full capacity, you can run it on with 8 gigs of ram but not to its full potential it can offer I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg
October 2, 20205 yr Dude, you're not going to spoil my fun with your negativity. In fact, I like MSFS so much, sometimes I just quickly fire it up before going to work to have a quick look at some great scenery. Makes my day.

I think the original post was aimed at those people trying to run 2 or 3 x 4K monitors at Ultra while holding short at O'Hare or JFK in a Thunderstorm in a 747 with AI traffic maxed out with only 16Gb ram. They were not saying everyone needs 32Gb, Clearly they do not, 8Gb will be fine for many people as your system amply demonstrates. Also in the last dev talk they said over the next few patches there will be memory management improvements to reduce the need for huge amounts of system ram even further.
October 2, 20205 yr Ricardo41, Regardless of RAM required vs RAM wanted vs RAM used, can you imagine for one minute a screenshot like that from default FSX or P3D. Even P3Dv5 default is not as good in my opinion. If what you have works for you, ya gotta be laffin. For those people who have not got that, there is some work to do I guess and it is not up to me, nor is it my style, to denigrate their efforts. Tony Tony Chilcott. My System. Motherboard. Ricardo41, Where was the negativity, all i said was you can run it on 8 gigs in fact your are and having fun thats great, but if you want to run it to it full capacity obviously your going to need more. October 2, 20205 yr The biggest problem inSim is that people don,t understand that their settings are too high for their system. Always been that way in all sims. This is by far the most demanding flightsim so far, no system can handle it fully.

October 2, 20205 yr This idea is noble for sure and I support it.... but not to throw cold water on it, there are well documented and known bugs in the code. These have absolutely nothing to do with your system spec. Dare I say that some people that say that they don’t see problems are just oblivious to them. Some don’t see the LOD issue for example, yet in their screen shots it’s pretty obvious that they have the issue. Another good example is the avionics blackout bug. Too many people here said “I don’t have this problem, it must be your system, or you broke it by doing something.” The fact of it is that everybody has the issue. Some just had their settings set to where the bug is hidden (using generic AI for example). This is the beauty of these forums, people figure stuff out as a community and workarounds can be found. But bugs are bugs and no amount of formatting, reinstalling, changing out CPU, RAM, GPU, PSU etc will melt them away.
