I can't imagine what the cause might be, but, there are some weird combination of slider choices. With your cpu and gpu I wouldn't expect you to have any FPS issues with anything. Just don't know what to suggest. Ray I had the same expectation. And before the last MSFS Patch was installed everything went well. Guess i'll just have to wait and see if it fixes itself with time. I still have the G36 to fly! 😀 Intel i9-13900K | Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Master | RTX4090 | 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5-6000 | Be quiet! Pure Loop 2 FX AiO | Win 11

October 2, 20205 yr I running 4k and am having the same issues with sluggish performance. I dont know if its the latest Mooney patch or the latest MSFS patch. I was at steady 30fps and now it hovers about 12 to 18. If I dumb down the sim to get better performance then the visuals go south. For me this sim is a work in progress so ill treat it as such and not get discouraged. CPU: Intel i9-11900K @5.2 / RAM: 64GB DDR4 3200 / GPU: 4080 16GB /

October 2, 20205 yr Hello, Try to switch the aircraft (through the dev mode) and then go back to the mooney. This happens to me also. Only by changing the aircraft and going back solved the framerate issue for me. I´v already made a carenado ticket. They sad they solved the problem but with the mooney patch from yesterday the problem still exists.

I was just trying to catch you in a moment of insanity while trying to figure this out and thought that swapping vid cards was a sound step in the troubleshooting process. 🙂 ...and sorry I don't have any good ideas to offer...its truly baffling....however.... I didn't noticed if you mentioned you had a 3080 reference or 3rd party. The very obscure reason I ask, is if you haven't seen all the ruckus about card vendors using cheap power caps...and causing issues at higher clocks....I know when I got the latest MSFS update...the Mooney was pegging my Titan a LOT harder than it was before...even mentioned it to @cavaricooper in a recent group flight we had in Japan. Soooooooooooooooo........IF.....you have a non-ref card, AND it has cheap power caps (not all do)...AND you have not downloaded the updated driver specific for YOUR card...then MAYBE that could be a contributing factor? I know....stretching...but I think we're there in the next thing to look at with this crazy issue.
