The official P3d forums have well over 100K users so they must be doing something right.

Martyson is the most useless and annoying poster I have seen anywhere on the internet. He just posts garbage replies to user questions that don’t even make any sense, and just end up derailing threads. Seriously, his reading comprehension skills are at toddler-level.

If I ever end up as CEO of Lockheed Martin, my second act after rebooting HCSW Hypersonic Missile Program will be to permaban that guy from the Prepar3d forums.

 

P3DV5HF2: The only issue which hurts me is the so called "ATC Window Problem". Prevents me to use GSX. Well, since migrating to V5 in April (60 flights since then) I had also 2 CTD. In sum, nothing to complain massively. Just enjoying life and P3D 🙂

Amen. First flight in weeks last night. Ram thru a cold and dark start on vatsim. Request pushback and boom ctd. Doesn’t happen often but super annoying. Quite frankly it’s disappointing they didn’t hotfix this particular item. 

So a sim developer should make it compatible with an addon and not the other way round an addon should be fixed to work with the sim. 

That will be a first in any sim we have used over the last 25 years.

Well, they both became beta testers so the forum cop roles paid off for them in the end lol.... don't know why LM just don't move to open beta- its not like they have anything radical to hide from the competition now because IMHO the P3d platform will most likely play 2nd or even 3rd place in the sim world going forward. LM don't even offer much support to the current release version so its not like their support workload would increase!! 

I like the way MS are talking to their customers even if it means some turbulence along the way, they never used to be like this in previous versions of Fsim so its very progressive of them to invest in this element of comms

This is a bug with the in-sim menu system and happens with the default ATC as well. 
 

People just only tend to notice this in GSX (which uses the same menu system) because hardly anybody uses the default ATC rubbish.

He says he´s not. Seems to be unemployed having time to comment on everything. I feel irritated too about all these people (Jorgen is not alone) defending LMs behavior. Martyson (Vaughan Martell (KDTW)) even beats him with about 3 posts a day to 2.57 by Jorgen. I don´t know why these guys always post the obvious or the position of their thought LM position.

I post only 0.12 per day.

C'mon Ray you're better than this - It's an issue with the sim - even calling the default ATC menu can trigger the crash. Got nothing to do with addon developers or anything thats been going for 25 years.

I didn't want to name them but yeah -  I find it annoying as hell. The posts offer little to no technical advice and serve no purpose other an increasing post count.

I find it odd that LM seem to have abandoned their own forums and let these two self help doctors become the primary point of advice for the masses who go their looking for help. Odd.

ATC in P3Dv5 has never caused a CTD for me i must be doing something wrong then. i tend to fly my PMDG fleet in P3D.

Congrats. There's a thread on P3D forum with 45k views, 13 pages, and zero response from LM about the issue. But as long as you're not experiencing it, we can go ahead and shut this whole convo down.

You can still use P3Dv4.5 the last time i checked, i have had CTD due an addon or airport not fully compatible but soon solved by removing it until fixed.

While it's an annoying bug with P3DV5, it is not a common one atleast for me.  The other benefits V5 brings are huge.  So going back to V4 isn't something I would consider doing.
