Zibo 737 .. Any news?

Recommended Posts

Not going to do a rude pile on. But i would kindly suggest to you that you take into consideration that Zibo did not create the model. Just like the A320 in MSFS the primary model was enhanced. So as two posters above stated It is pretty much unexpected that there will be a Zibo 737. There will eventually be a PMDG 737 next year and although its payware. The model and all systems would be fabricated by them and they are entitled to charge for that.

Both PMDG & A2A take their time, but they develop masterpieces.

A pilot is always learning and I LOVE to learn.

PMDG is a small company. The fact that MSFS lacks a robust SDK, is the reason they moved their employees back to projects they can manage. Let's hope Aerosoft are making progress in their venture to help build said SDK.

Unless another (unknown) developer has started work on a 737, we'll be waiting some time before PMDG is able to move theirs into MSFS.

Hopefully. Could very well be even longer.

Im aware of the SDK issue and PMDG's decision to delay. Its unfortunate, but it also allows another developer to potentially try and out develop them and be first to market. But a complete freeware version to me seems unlikely. Unless Asobo has that hidden (New freeware models) in some development roadmap. I would sincerely hope however that they understand and fix the basic airliner flight dynamics before introducing new models (if they ever choose to do so).

At this point, any news from any developer would be well received.

Nope, this is another extension of the Zibo mod by X-Plane developers, again the assets come from Laminar. Reading the full article would have that revealed that

""Working with Zibo and his excellent 737-800X as a starting platform, we began deconstructing the plane down to it’s core, to produce the most vanilla and clean outcome possible. We’ve also been working directly with Laminar Research and using their developer copy to redevelop the visuals and optimise the entire package."

Edit, apologies, missed the 737 part.

Actually in one of Flightdeck2Sim's videos, he mentions that he is in contact with Zibo (for flight testing etc) And he said that Zibo was interested in making the 737 for MSFS.

How? Zibo made it based on a default plane, so what would be the plan here?
