any kind of global preset instead of live and accurate weather (to fly on vatsim) is the one step closer to simcade, not simulator. its really really makes you feel like an idot when  vatsim controller gives a you a runway and you landing with tailwind and different QNH.....

Why is it that some P3D simmers want to use historic weather over live?

Last time I checked there's a default setting on MSFS for "live weather" and some simmers still purchased REX WF for MSFS because they felt that default just wasn't good enough.

There are also a few default presets and I'm sure that some users like me want more diversity.

Not everyone sims is on VATSIM. If the add-on isn't for you move on a don't assume that the add-on is useless because YOU only fly on VATSIM.
