so, you had an ultrarealistic flight but because when you quit the flight it shows a screen you do not like, that ruins the ultrarealistic flight,    Makes sense if you DONT think about about it..

I love MSFS and I stopped caring about the logbook. But yes, I still think it's stupid. Thanks for bumping my year old post.

I didnt bump it, someone else did.  This is why I saw it.  However, since you are here, are you ok with the menu?  Have you been coping over the last 12 months?  Did you speak to a professional to help?  😀

There's a reason they're removing this feature. Some of us are still doing things when the engine turns off.

It's very rude to dismiss other peoples complaints. We all sim differently.

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

I agree that screen was huge and the title should not have released with it

it logs every flight AFAIK. You just do not SEE it unless you shut the aircraft down at the end of your flight.

Pretty sure it is turned off while in developer mode 😄  not a very practical way to disable it though

otherwise no idea how to stop it popping up

It has been a while for me but if I recall it may as well not pop up after a flight that is started cold and dark.

I threw up my hands and now just simply start my flights with systems on and engine(s) running on the runway.  While there I shut the aircraft totally down as if in post flight.  Then I start cold and dark from there.  Logs the flight then much like it should (most of the time) and that post flight box pops up after landing, taxi, when the engine has been shut down, and the master avionics switch is flipped to off.

I found the solution for MSFS

Click on "Options" > Assistance Options > Click on "User Experience" drop-down menu > then Turn Off "End flight when aircraft shuts down

Very useful... many thanks... this has been bugging me for a while...

But, a few hours ago, I saw a flight on YouTube and noticed the logbook didn't automatically appear after the engines were shut down so I started looking for a solution and came across your post 👍

Even after two and a half years, I fail to see what the issue is.

The logbook pops up, you click on continue, and you can go on with exiting the plane.

It "logs" your flight. That's why it's called a logbook.

Many people aren't "exiting their plane" afterwards. In the tubeliner world, the flight isn't over once you turn off the engines. There's the entire shutdown checklist to be done, hooking up the jet bridge, unloading pax and cargo and, in many simmers cases, a turnaround to another destination.

The game is assuming when my flight is done and it's wrong.

What'smore, pop-ups are a huge immersion breaker in a game where the entire point is immersion. If you're in the moment, enjoying the sounds and ambience, suddenly you're looking at a pop-up screen that takes you out of that moment.
