We’re not comparing it to a good plane, we’re comparing it to the fsx defaults. I have plenty of experience with those. You might not have.
April 4, 20215 yr Regardless of what I chose, HDG or LNAV mode, this thing goes around in a circle as soon as AP is engaged, will not follow the dialed in heading or follow the plan in the FMS. What am I missing here? I'm not new to this as I've flown 1000s of hours in PMDG 737 & 777.
April 5, 20215 yr All I want to know is that everyone is flying the 787-10 variant right? because even Asobo list it as 787-9/10.Is there another variant out there? Freeware or Payware for Msfs

I used it regularly in the past 2 weeks (20 flights or so) and I find it more reliable than the A320. 9 times out of 10 it can even follow the approach when I set it on the fly. In order to make it follow the flight plan set in the MCDU you have to initialize the position at the departure airport, then use the A/P with LNAV and RNAV modes. The default 787-10 has been intimidating to me for months but it's actually more simple than you would expect. To break the ice I watched these 2 videos, very well done! 7800X3D | 2x32 GB DDR5-6000 CL32 | RTX 5080 | Alienware OLED 34" | 1 Gbps fiber
April 5, 20215 yr This plane works and flys just fine for me. I flown for shure around 80h with this plane using a mod from flightsim.to and would say there are no problems for me at all. VNav, LNav capturing ILS down to the Runway all works pretty fine for me.. cheers 😉 08.2024 new PC is online : ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F GAMING WIFI Mainboard, AMD Ryzen™ 9 7950X3D Prozessor, G.Skill DIMM 64 GB DDR5-6000 (2x 32 GB) Dual-Kit, MSI GeForce RTX 4090 VENTUS 3X E 24G OC Grafikkarte, 2x WD Black SN850X NVMe SSD 4 TB - Drive C+D, WD Gold Enterprise Class 12 TB for storage HDD, Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 1000W PC - Power supply, Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO CPU Aircooler with 7 Heatpipes, Design Meshify 2 White TG Clear Tint Tower-Case, 3x 4K monitors 2x32 Samsung 1x27 LG 3840x2160, Windows11 Prof. 23H2 - now Windows11 Prof. 25H2 Flightsimulator Hardware: Honeycomb Throttle Bravo, Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, Logitech Flight Joke System, XBox Controller, some Thrustmaster stuff, Winwing CDU Panels.

In hindsight, I wish I had purchased the base variant of MSFS then upgraded the aircraft with 3rd party software as they came. Even the additional "hand-crafted" airports are a bit of a disappointment and I should stuck to aftermarket. Oh well, live and learn. I recently upgraded to the premier deluxe version purely because I wanted EGLL and EHAM. I cant see any developer bothering to produce them any time soon. And as you say they are pretty poor. The 787 isn't worth my time either. So to anyone thinking of doing the same I would say don't waste your money and stick with the base version.

AT, lnav, vnav, etc. work. A few quirks here and there. It's a default airplane. The plane is encrypted so there is only so much the modding community can do.
