FSX daylight-standard time

Recommended Posts

Guest kurtj

I was wondering if the daylight-standard time is correct in FSX this time around. I know FS9 seems to be this last weekend. I started it today and it was loading the indices after the time has changed. In reality the time changed 2 weekends ago. I was wondering if it is correct or a week later like fs9.

As far as I know the time in the simulator reflects your actual system time. If your system time is "on" then so will be the time in FSX. Correct me if I am wrong someone.

The SDK now has a feature where you can set time zones and DST anywhere in the world.scott s..

So it seems that it is corrected then? I also noticed that in FS9 it seems to get darker sooner than in reality. I was in Las Vegas and it seemed pretty much dusk at 4:45pm with some sun peeking through the mountains. Now Southern California is not that far away and it seems lighter at my house than it does in Las Vegas. I calculated at least for Socal it seems to be 15min earlier than in reality. I perhaps should of loaded KSNA for a better comparison, but megascenery takes too darn long to load during dusk/dawn hours. In fs10 is there some difference in the time it takes from sunset to night compared with fs9?Thank You,Kurt.
