FSX Beechjet from Eaglesoft

Recommended Posts

Maybe a dumb question but I can't figure out how to engage the speed control on the autopilot. Heading & altitude, no problem. I can't find a reference to it in the manual. Pressing the "speed" button on the autopilot only changes the reference from mach to knots. Anyone know?

Please reread the Manual and drop in to our support forums for more help. The real Beechjet 400A does not have a "speed hold" so our model doesn't either. The avionics are built by a real world Beechjet pilot and about 98-99% real. This includes the toggle between knots and mach as you pointed out:-)

Thanks Ron,I have the 400 for FX9 and I could have sworn there was a speed hold. I did find that Ctrl-R is a speed hold though. It will set and hold the speed at current level and from there you can adjust the speed up or down with the IAS -> VS knob. Thanks again.

Correct, in the FS9 case we had speed hold. Correct again, the FSX key commands allow speed hold though the real aircraft doesn't have that feature:-)

Funny, I stumbled on that Ctrl-R thing after my first post. And I'm glad I wasn't dreaming about the FS9 version. Thanks again Ron.
