Unable to hear audio from either AT or Co-Pilot on P3DV5

After successful connection and flight plan load, I can hear the ATIS transmission, 
but upon changing to AT clearance frequency, unable to hear AT or Copilot audio.  The
text box shows the transmission history, but hard to use in real time and unsatisfactory.
This situation the same with both PMDG 737 and Aerosoft CRJ addons.

Appreciate any advice or assistance.

If you’re having difficulty hearing them both, then you need to check your Windows volume settings.  With P2A running, right click the Speaker in the Windows Icon tray and select Volume Mixer.  Then check/adjust the volume for Pilot2ATC.
 

You might also check any other volume settings, including on your headphones as this is often the problem.  

And finally, you may need to lower the sounds in your aircraft if you have them cranked way up.
