A thread on what we love about MSFS?

Recommended Posts

Not having to buy a lot of photo real scenery as I did for P3D is a big advantage. It costed more than € 1000 just to have Europe photorealistic.

I hope that seasons will be added in the future as that would be very welcome.

Not to hijack this thread, but what is wrong with your altimeter?

Good luck doing that with the crappy default scenery from XP/P3D.

You are right, it is impossible to fly over other continents with that scenery 😂

Just was "switched off" to have a TRUE VFR experience and not be scared of low altitude! 😄

Pretty much impossible, yes.

I'd much rather have something like this out of the box:

That I can fly from Cape Town to Entebbe on a 5 hour real-time flight over Africa and for the first time ever in a sim, looking out the window is actually interesting, educational and pretty exceptional. Not a single addon to make it so either. Oh and no CTD like would be guaranteed to happen on final approach to a detailed airport in the old days of 32-bit P3D and FSX on a flight that long.

Now I know why the HSI in your profile pic is showing the NAV flag - how appropriate for your favourite simulator 😋

And to think we could not even get decent FPS with THAT. 😄

I love the feeling of dread knowing that the airframe at -10C is going to ice up as I descend into a beautiful, scary overcast (and it does!) in mountainous terrain, hoping for the occasional glimpse of the terrain (thinking - I wonder how soft those trees really are - if I hit them?) to stay safe and on-course down to finals - AWESOME!
