They lay out a solid foundation, but then make it look cheap by not going the full distance. Happy with MSFS 🙂 home simming evolved

October 24, 20205 yr I'd hope that in the Developer Q&A, we get more concrete info rather than marketing phrases. Do you plan on improving XY? Yeah we are currently evaluating and trying to deliver the most realistic experience. Happy with MSFS 🙂 home simming evolved

October 24, 20205 yr I could have swore they mentioned about a month ago that originally they weren't planning on fleshing out the Garmin but due to the pushback they decided to bring someone in and revamp them. Could this not be a part of fixing approaches? Edited October 24, 20205 yr by snwboardn Tyson Rose

Right now, I have rediscovered the pure joy of VFR FLYING and small GA aircraft is all I care about. I would even venture to say that the majority of “hard core simmers” are now more interested in VFR flying. I could be wrong, but this an interesting question I think. I still have to understand why VFR would be less « hardcore » than IFR 😉. First, VFR does not preclude using radio-navigation instruments and auto-pilot and doesn’t imply clear skies and fair winds. Then cloud avoidance is by definition part of the VFR flying and makes navigation often... interesting. If one (wrongly) defines VFR by finding your way with a sectional while flying by hand, I do not find it specially « softcore » 😃, specially in terrain poor in features (forested areas, agricultural lands sparsely inhabited, huge suburbs without landmark etc.). Add the cloud avoidance and you easily get lost 😃. Aviate and navigate, can’t think of anything more hardcore than that. I find utterly respectable and fun to use FMC, LNAV and VNAV in a liner but it seems to me easier, more comfortable.
