Setting up Profiles

Trying to understand how Profiles will work in the OPTIONS/CONTROLS section. I am using all CH products so I have the Yoke, the Rudder Pedals, and the Throttle Quadrant. It looks like I can't change anything in the Default setup, so I add a new Profile I call Profile 1 for each of the controllers and set each up the way I want them. I save them. It does not look like I can create a dedicated profile for types of aircraft like I could do in P3D using FSUIPC.  It looks like I have to create a profile for each controller for different types of aircraft, say Single Engine Props: Twin Engine Props:, Single Engine Turbo Props; Single Engine Jets; Twin Engine Jets; etc. But I have to create a Profiles for each type for each of the three controllers. Also, I do not see how to assign Reverse Thrust to the detent area of the Throttles, or assign the Feather to the detent area of the Prop Pitch Controls. 

Having done all that, how does MSFS now which Profiles to use when I want to fly say a Twin Engine Prop. Or, do I first have to go into the settings and select the three Profiles I want to use? Seems like a lot of work. With FSUIPC it was automatic You just assigned each plane to a profile and you were done.

Or am I missing something here?

Later I will use FSUIPC as In FS9, FSX and P3D.

For now I use the default 2 Throttle, 2 Prop and 2 mixture assignments in MSFS (2 Saitek Throttle Quads in use).

No problems noticed flying single or twin props/jets. MSFS knows what to use for the default aircraft.

For engine reverse thrust on jets the Saitek throttle quad has a button activated when the throttle is fully retarded and that button assignment works in MSFS.

Follow theses step.

Load the default profiles for controls.

Select the Aircraft you wish to fly and load a flight on the runway.

Goto Controls

Click Preset and click copy and you have to rename it. e.g 172 G1000

Programe everything you need.

Repeat for as many aircraft you want to fly.

Very simple. You will need to go into your control to select the profile for the aircraft you wish to fly. They do not change automatically.
