Welcome to Nvidia Waterworks. It has potential, but just like EA in general, it is partially broken since launch.

No sys specs, no settings, no Screenshot... Impossible to get to an conclusion. Also for GC who's answer is BS.

What you mean BS? Have you actually flown on V5? While water looks quite OK right below the aircraft, it is generally blurry on the distance.

Don’t think it is possible. Hopefully it is  fixed when 5.1 is finally released.

So, it seems that the holy grail 5.1 release failed to fix EA and water issues that have plagued P3D for almost an year. Still waiting on some reasoning why @JoeFackel called my original answer BS.

I called it BS because you haven't any further infos from OP (sys specs, settings etc.) to make an somewhat proper diagnosis of the OPs problem.

When i call my doctor having stomach aches and she's diagnosing cancer over the phone before an proper examination i would call her diagnosis also BS.

This premature "It's a bug!" yelling is just spreading false info in 95% of the time.

Blurry water is a notorious issue of V5, regardless of the user specs. I have been using V5 extensively since launch and I believe everyone that has done so is aware of the problem.

Judging by the answers on the other topic, this issue is not solved by 5.1:

So, no, my original answer was not BS and, as I feared, you have nothing to add w.r.t. the OP's problem.

I'm flying right now over water and i can still see the issue. It's not something i'm really bothered with but i'd love to see it gone. As already said, probably a sloppy implementation of waterworks.
