New updates are spreading on a possible 3080ti to offset the AMD release. Almost as powerful as the 3090 but only 12gb of memory. From the tech sites there thinking an announcement around the 6900 release. This should be interesting. Competition is a good thing.

Yawn, the TDP is going to be pushing 350W+. I would rather have the extra 4GB of vram and less heat blowing out of my case.

12GB is not going to do it. They need a minimum of 16GB, better 20 GB Otherwise I don't think its going to be good enough for DX 12

Don't forget this is all Marketing.... if they announce a 3080 with 20GB of Vram, everyone will stop buying the current 3080.... 😉

Would not surprise me one bit to see a 12 or 16, or maybe even a 20GB 3080 in the future, but likely to until after the current series of 3000 cards have filled the market.
