Until then, there is a workaround (hoping you don‘t do much close formation flying), courtesy of P3Ds dev team: You can disable this new adaptive simulation group system in the Prepar3D.cfg

Let me know if this fixes those CTDs.

Hi Jeffrey,

I ran through a handful of the KSEA test scenarios I outlined earlier in this thread and I'm happy to report no ucrtbase.dll CTDs yet.  I will do some more testing with additional add-ons/scenery, but so far so good.

Thanks so much for working with the LM team and diagnosing!

Jeff. I inserted AdaptiveSimGroupEnable=False in to my cfg and flew the same flight that I was having CTD on and was able to complete the 1 hour flight.

Thank you very much. I guess I can wait for you to get a fix done.

Got news for you:

V5.1 added a new feature called „Adaptive Simulation Group“, mainly intended to reduce visual jittering when flying in close formation with other traffic (multiplayer or AI).

Due to the way SODE works internally (it basically injects AI objects...), Prepar3D picked them up into that new simulation group and when SODE tried to remove the injected object, the sim crashed. This is going to be fixed within Prepar3D.

I've reposted this into the P3D Tips and Tricks forum.  Two thumbs up, Jeffrey!

I've got a CTD after pressing TAB+S although I have added the lines in the cfg.

what did the eventviewer give you as error / faulting module ?

You say that you added the "lines".. but there is only one line to add.  Make sure that if you have already a [sim] chapter in the cfg that you do not add a second one..

Still getting the CTD with this line added. I will have to leave SODE disabled for now.

Any update to this issue?

I've got AdaptiveSimGroupEnable=False setting in.

Seems to happen when you select the jetway vs the GSX triggering. I can manually call the jetway via the Tab+S menu and it's all good.
