Might have to watch Zardoz later. That is definitely the most crackers Connery movie.

On the news this morning a number of reporters recalled his roles in some movies like The Untouchables, Indiana Jones, The Rock, and of course the James Bond films.

However, none of them mentioned his role as Ramirez in the movie Highlander, which for me was one of his most interesting roles.

It's so cool how Sean Connery was able to go the distance in his acting career. Nice to see his role as Zed being mentioned: the superior human male that got to play the role of a superior human male (though Zardoz is considered laughably "bad", its story is top rate Sci-Fi IMO).

Surprising to me that he was never able to shed his accent in his roles, while I am dumbfounded how so many current actors from the UK can perfectly nail any sort of accent, British or American.

The man who would be king, the sad part of aging is so many of the great actors, artists and people I grew up watching, listening to and inspired by have passed on. But how fortunate I have been to have had that experience provided by that very generation.
