Just a suggestion that if you purchase the BER airport, its probably worth investing in the just-relased 2020 Cycle #12 from Navigraph (for those that have this package) that now includes the up-to-date SIDs, STARS and approaches.

I don't recommend this, it's already outdated. Unless you get it for dirt cheap.

The textures look like FS2004.

And on their forums, Aerosoft claims they have no plans of updating it (other than bug fixes).

That's good info.

I suspect the reason behind this is BER was originally developed by Limesim and the developer, Sascha Normann has moved over to Orbx, so unless Orbx decide to take on an update project (who knows), its very unlikely as you stated above, that anything major will be coming for this airport.

As BER is expected to become the third busiest airport in Germany, I guess/hope one of the major flightsim scenery developers is already planning or even starting their works on it.

Yes I hope that's a possibility too. I just popped over to the Aerosoft site and its clear the airport could do with some updates regarding taxiways and gates etc.

I have AIG Ai package and using the excellent Ai Companion Airport Switcher I successfully switched all movements from EDDT to EDDB. 59 airlines were updated. Took a couple of minutes. The two programs are superb.

Yep. I like AI Companion too. It was really easy to swap over EDDT to EDDB.
