Large airports now causing CTD's?

Recommended Posts

Just curious, is anyone who is having the CTD at large airports, have more than 16gb of RAM?  I think that many CTDs are purely running out of RAM. MSFS doesn't handle that gracefully.

I have 16GB RAM, never had a CTD.

I used to have CTDs, when things got busy, before upgrading my RAM to 32GB. Typically, everything would freeze before that happened.

Now, with the latest patch, I'm not experiencing CTDs any more-- so far, fingers crossed -- but I'm starting to get freezes again. The busier the location, it seems, the more freezes I encounter. Something has sadly gone awry with this patch, again.

Other than that, though, it is improving in other ways. Just hoping they can get this software stable and keep it that way.

N.B. I don't use any mods/liveries.

Regarding the "Your organization doesn't allow you to move this file here" issue, it started only after I updated my Windows 10 Pro from 1903 to 2004 version. Before that there was no such issue.

But I had to update from 1903 to 2004 because there was an issue where FS2020 would run better when unfocused in a background window.

MS has a article on the official forums about this. They tell you to roll back.

Me neither. The CTD's were intrduced with the latest "CTD Hotfix" (true story). I am unwilling to fiddle with my install at this point.

This is, generally, an access violation error. For more info and possible fixes see here: https://www.ionos.ca/digitalguide/server/configuration/resolving-0xc0000005-errors/

I flew out of KORD this evening, No CTD with a lot of real time traffic.

For me it seems to be just a SFO issue thus far (Premium Deluxe Edition).

Community folder has always been empty.

Strange how this sim performs across different platforms.

Just took off from SFO, RW traffic with 40+ AC at the gates and several in the air taking off and landing, flew back over the airport, over the city and back. Peak memory was 18 GB. 1080p with Render scaling at 130, FPS capped at 30, partly cloudy, wind on the surface with waves. Video card got up to about 45% and 74C. Premium Deluxe-MS Store. I7-10700k @ 4.7, RTX 3080, 32GB memory.

Hi,

I found out, that KASH (Flightsim.to) made CTD to the Toronto Montreal Area, maybe more.

Reproduce it serveral times. With CTD, without no CTD.

Have had contact with the designer of 1 of the CTD problem creator "Locher Airfield"  and we did some testing and the problem seems to be solved so keep an eye on flightsim.to for the newest release.

Happy landings...

The creator from KASH contact me also, we investigate, if this is a problem on my side or from his file.

So if you had a problem in this area, then you know wich file is possible the cause 😉
