This and the fact that they let people badger them into VR instead of leaving it for later after the actual simulation was done...

You need high framerates to avoid motion sickness in VR.  Very few systems (if any!) are going to deliver 90fps to the 2 2160x2160 displays on a Reverb G2 to avoid simulation sickness.  Spending any time on VR now is totally stupid.

You've heard of reprojection, haven't you? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asynchronous_reprojection

Microsoft/Asobo seem to be conveniently selective of what makes it to the top bugs list. The "Terrible night lighting after patch 5" report that had over 280 votes this morning didn't make it to the list.

This whole voting scheme is stupid because any new items need to get enough votes to surpass items people have been voting on for three months to get onto the list.

Since they aren't solving the current list, it ensures that it is less and less likely that we can get anything new onto the list.

I'm on v1.10.8.0 and have no update available. Yet in the content manager it says I have updates that I can't install (B787 and A320) because I'm not running the right game version. Bit odd.

This is a known issue with the UI (or knowing Asobo's approach to thing now, it's working s intended).  It happens just before any upcoming patch.  It will unlock when they patch the overall game.

I see your point and I agree with you. However, Microsoft seems to rank the top bugs based on the number of votes and there are items on that list that have less than 280 votes.

A bunch of people called them out on this on something a few weeks back (I think one of the Live Weather items) and the Community Manager was like "I'll go check and see if we left that off on purpose" and then it showed up on the next one.

I suspect they do indeed leave things off on purpose.

I think you have the same right as anyone else to state your opinion and ask questions.

To answer you question, there's a big debate here at Avsim:

Also, there is a debate on Microsoft forum

I really must try and make the Community fly-in tomorrow, having missed the previous one. When my girlfriend and I holidayed in Rome 3 years ago, our destination was LIRF but shortly before touchdown we were told we were diverting to Ciampino due to fog. We spent the rest of the flight and taxiing wondering how we were going to get into Rome, only to find out we'd been able to land at LIRF after all, without having been told!😄 So it will be fun to actually go to Ciampino as well as landing in the Circus Maximus, which we looked down on from the ruins on Palatine Hill without actually going there. Should be fun, but I hope the Swiss Guard have been informed that there'll be a mass of planes landing in front of the Basilica!

G1000/G30000 & Autopilot issues:  Started, February 21 update????  February 21st?  Not trolling here, but this with certainty answers the S vs G question.  Unbelievable.

I agree Feb 2021 is crazy.

Why doesn't Asobo hire the guy at WorkingTitle (the G1000, G3000, CJ4 mod guy) and also the Airbus320 mod guy. 🤷‍♂️

These guys seem to have the talent and enthusiasm to do this particular work much better than Asobo.

I wonder if Asobo even knows these mods exist.
