Should also clear the weird VS behavior. It was doing crazy jumps for us with sim Metric enabled.

So to climb, set your target altitude, then enable either FLC or VS mode and set the proper speed target for FLC mode or VS target for VS mode. Then you should get a (relatively) smooth climb and intercept to the target altitude... Remember that if you use FLC, you still have to control throttles, so set climb power and set your FLC target to 240 kts and you should get a good climb. Check out our little SOP doc for more details on climb and descent.

Thanks again. I do this, but with ALT at 43000 ft,  descending with vs  -700 from 48000 ft, the aircraft does not stop at FL430 but instead jumps to FL510 and then descends and it goes on doing this - up and down and it never stops at selected altitude.

It should descend at -700ft/s and altitude should stabilize at the assigned FL 430! I am doing something wrong and have to figure it out....

PS: Got things working...it was the problem with the metric units selection in the simulator. Thanks!

If you use Navigraph you'll get many more. It's partially a data issue and partially a flight plan manager issue. We are developing a custom flight plan manager and I expect that plus navigraph will provide full and complete procedures and transitions...time will tell.

I'm assuming the missing transitions in CJ4 is a bug because i can select the transition (same procedure) without a problem in garmin G1000, so i presumed this is not a database issue, but i can be wrong. I will test the navigraph database to see if there is a change, thank you!

Yes Navigraph replaces the in-sim data in MSFS. Much more integrated than in P3D or XP.

Well, once Asobo fixes their CTD's I may consider it then.  This latest patch has been terrible for me.

Hmm, there shouldn't be anything you can select in G1000 and not in CJ4. If anything CJ4 has more data. Can you log an issue so I can have a look? https://github.com/Working-Title-MSFS-Mods/fspackages/issues

Something weird going on during engine start using latest version.  So I engage the starter, watch N2 rise, I normally hit the RUN button after 20%.  However when I do this the engine spools down???  Even weird is I try again, engage starter but leave the RUN/STOP button showing "Run" and the engine spools up????

This isn't right surely?  I need to press the Run button to engage the engine at which point it should show STOP.

selecting PPOS on the PFD causes the whole display to freeze and there is nothing I can do to get it back.

I can recreate this issue either by pressing format button (FRMT) on the glareshield or by selecting PPOS via the PFD MENU / FORMAT menu. Anyone seen this before?

No guarantee here, but try removing the G3000 mod if you have it installed. There have been reports of some conflicts. The team is working on a fix addressing this.

Hi all,

We've updated the CJ4 to 0.7.1 to fix the display freezing and other issues found today. This is a hotfix for critical bugs found in v0.7.0 but also brings lights to the lower CCP panel finally! Thanks to all the helpful folks who contributed to this release.

You can grab the hotfix at our release page. Scroll down to the bottom and download the workingtitle-cj4-v0.7.1.zip file.

Key Features

  • Added backlighting to lower CCP panel to complete lighting on the panel
  • Fixed bugs with freezing MFD and FMC in some situations

FMC

  • Fix Metric conversion errors on perf init
  • Fix Metric conversion errors on fuel mgmt

FPLN

  • Fixed error with certain navaid loading when search query returns an empty value (example case NDB HM)

PFD/MFD

  • Repaired map conflict with other WT mods that share the same common mapping code (thanks to Viralwhite for initial diagnosis help)
  • Resolve freezing MFD/PFD error with altitude constraint selection (this option has been disabled as the data is inaccurate)
  • Fixed bug displaying waypoint names in black on black background
  • Adjusted leg colors to show active leg magenta, and others in white

PROG

  • Fixed metric conversion display errors

I just completed a really nice, uneventful flight with this latest 0.7.1 patch. Everything went well but I failed to do an ILS approach. Everything looked good, hitting the waypoints as per FMS NSV.. localizer and glideslope diamonds moving into position.. selected the APPROACH button, but it didn't grab the glideslope. It just held the AP altitude. Not sure what i did wrong. Do I need to switch the Nav Source to VOR1?

Can anyone explain me how weather radar can sweep more then 270 degrees? Is that a bug or a feature?

You have to select Nav before hitting APPR.  Just ready to start a flight on the latest patch myself....

The sim weather map is hardcoded and not in aircraft code. The aircraft code just gets a pre-rendered image from the sim each frame, and we have very little configurability.

As of right now the azimuth is not configurable, but we'll continue to look for workarounds for these hardcoded limitations as time goes on.
