Faster than a speeding bullet transatlantic flight

Recommended Posts

I managed to complete a flight from Belfast to NYC without encountering an invisible hurricane (stock fair weather setting, no winds aloft). I did have issues with the automation, but that's detailed in a post in the FSX forum..

Anyhow here we go.

Scaring the neighbours..

Subsonic until over the ocean.

Most definitely supersonic climbing over FL520

Waking up Canada.. sorry! (Not a proper Concorde route. Just testing!)

Subsonic again descending towards KJFK.

The approaches were abysmal due to my issues (3 go-arounds!), but eventually, an OK landing..

The stairs are included with the product, as is a ground power cart (not shown because Concorde's shut down!)

Enjoy!

Great shots!

My late Aunt worked at Alitalia Cargo at KJFK and said watching the Concorde arrive and depart was always an event at her office....Full of Italian guys who love fast things (Ferrari, Bugatti, hello?)

By far the most elegant and tech-wizard aircraft of its day. (Still is in most respects).

Nice, I like the moon shot.  What a time to be alive to see Concorde

I was fortunate enough to see here a couple of time when she was active. The first time was when I was about 6 years old and the prototype was flying over various places in the UK (no doubt the Aerospace sites). She passed low over Leyland (the town where we lived at the time) - a beautiful sight and incredible noise: Beyond amazing for a little kid!!

Never had the money to take a flight, but I've been on the tour at Manchester where at least G-BOAC is in a building.
