Parameter for Steering

Recommended Posts

Introduced the parameter max_two in the airport file (upon special request).

With this parameter you may list, separated by comma’s, the ICAO Airline codes of airlines that may have max two aircraft parked at the same time.

My example for EHAM becomes now:
<parameter name="home_base" value="KLM,TRA,EZY,DAL" />
<parameter name="max_two" value="DLH,AFR,SAS,AZA,RYR,EJU,UAL" />

(so non listed airlines may appear only once)

Download 19.5 beta from here.

Thanks for the update, tried it for EDDF now, seems to work quite stable and well!

I inserted the following Airlines for EDDF:
<parameter name="home_base" value="DLH,EWG,CFG,TUI,RYR,GEC,BOX,UAL,SXS,DLA" />
<parameter name="max_two" value="BCS,SWR,AUA,SAS,WZZ,CPA,UAE,THY,DAL,CCA,ACA,HVN,AAL" />

(If anybody wonders why UAE and CPA, their cargoflights are operating under the same code, to have a chance to see both, pax and cargo parked I added them to the list)

I am probably missing a few more but at the moment it looks really realistic to me and way better than before 👍 But the best data can only be created by someone who "knows" the airport so maybe a sharing area could be a great idea?

Best regards!

Both, as well as addition as stand alone.

From the PPG Manual:

  • The home_base parameter lists the ICAO airline code(-s) separated by comma’s of the carriers that have this airport as home base or hub and therefore may appear unlimited at the same time at different gates.
  • The max_two parameter lists the ICAO airline code(-s) separated by comma’s of the carriers that may have max two aircraft parked at the same time.
  • If home_base or max_two_parked is not empty, any airline other than in home_base or max_two may only have max one aircraft parked at the airport at the same time.
  • if both home_base and max_two are empty, there will be no special arrangements and airlines will be chosen according to the hour and randomly.
