REX 2020 Weather Force?

Recommended Posts

I'm so upset that my in-game weather never is accurate to metar data I view online. Not even 50% of the time does my destination's weather depict IFR conditions as it does in the real world. Will REX give me the soup I'm missing from ActiveSky?

Thanks

Matt

I find that yes, yes it does do a pretty good job at replicating actual METARS.

Is it done yet? When will it be released? Will it be freeware or payware? How much will it cost? Any updates on the progress? Will it work for Xbox? Can I be a beta tester? How's the performance in VR?

Here is what I have noticed about REX Weather Force.  It isn't macro synoptic.  In other words it only loads a small area.  It's great for pattern flying but I have an issue where If I leave a city and where its raining and go somewhere it should be sunny I get the right weather but it changes the entire sky.  So I flew from Redding to Sacramento yesterday as that was where the line between stormy weather and sunny weather was.  It transitioned from stormy to Sunny, but when i looked back towards the stormy area it was sunny.  I have had lots of issues with REX Weather Force. All these patches for MSFS don't help stable development either.

Yes that is the trade off right now, unfortunately neither Rex or default is a perfect depiction yet.  I use both of them depending on my needs for a particular flight.

I rather suspect that ActiveSky won't do anything until the SDK gives them what they need so it can be done properly.

2c well spent
