Flying FSX Project Airbus A330-300 FD-FMC v1.59

Recommended Posts

Hey, I seem to be having trouble getting the autopilot on the Project Airbus A330-300 FD-FMC to work properly.  When I try to use any of the autopilot functions (i.e. altitude hold, airspeed hold, heading/NAV hold, etc.) they won't hold the aircraft at my selected airspeed or heading.  When I try to engage the altitude hold switch, the aircraft doesn't hold altitude, not to mention some buttons on the FMC aren't clickable. Here's where I got this download from: https://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=A330+FMC&categoryId=&page=3&filename=

You didnt mention pressing the AP button in the center. Theres two of them AP1 AP2. Also if modelled correctly the Airbus selection knobs are push-pull. Push = AP control, pull=your control (if I recall correctly).

I dont have that Project Airbus 330 but I can see its freeware and its rare to come across freeware with full on FMC where all buttons work.

I seem to remember on a Thomas Ruth A330 that I had to press the button marked LOC on the up front control panel in the VC - yes, you would think that it was for localiser, but not in that case if I recall correctly... perhaps try that and then see if you can use the autopilot?

I think that slowly but surely, I am starting to get the hang of how this aircraft works...fingers crossed
